Kozhikode: The relief cell of the Muslim League in the name of late Panakkad Syed Muhammedali Shihab Thangal was inaugurated by state president Syed Hyderali Shihab Thangal yesterday. The cell was inaugurated at Purathoor in Malappuram. He called for all people to involve in philanthropic activities without considering religion, caste or political orientation in the holy month of Ramadan.
All people should come ready to help the poor in the coastal areas suffering from poverty and unemployment as well as to retain peace in the area, urged PK Kunhalikkutty, state general secretary of the party. MP Abdussamad Samadani, national secretary, said that the relief cell was aimed at retaining the memory of Shihab Thangal who was a king in the minds of all people.
ET Muhammed Basheer, MP, welcomed the audience and Abdurabb, MLA, expressed vote of thanks. Kutty Ahmed Kutty, MLA,TA Ahmed Kabeer, state secretary, Abdu Rahman Randathani, MLA, Adv N Shamsudheen, M Abdullakkutty, Kurukkoli Moideen etc also spoke at the function.
