Ghaziabad : A businessman was shot dead and his driver critically injured Wednesday when another trader and his son fired at them in Ghaziabad, police said.
The incident occurred Wednesday evening in the Patel Nagar locality of Ghaziabad.
Hazi Guddu was shot dead, allegedly by Kom Pal Singh and his son Monu over a monetary dispute.
While Guddu died on the spot, his driver Munaf suffered two bullet injuries and was taken to the hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
“A criminal case has been registered against the father and son. But they are absconding. We will arrest them soon,” Deputy Inspector General of Police Akhil Kumar officiating as the district senior superintendent of police said.
