New Delhi : Don’t let the warm winter sun and the calm winds fool you into shedding your woollens. As temperatures remain close to normal, the weatherman warns of another cold spell.
The minimum temperature Monday was 7.7 degrees Celsius, while the maximum was recorded at 23.8 degrees Celsius.
“The temperatures are according to expectations with the maximum and minimum hovering around 22 degrees and eight degrees Celsius, respectively,” an official at the Safdarjung meteorological office said.
“The winter is far from over. There will be one more winter spell in the coming days,” the official added.
The met department has forecast mist and shallow fog in the morning and clear sky in the day for the next couple of days.
“There is also no likelihood of rain for the time being… the current situation of calm winds may prevail,” the official said.
General visibility stayed above 1,000 meters and domestic and international flights at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) were on time as visibility on all runways was clear, an airport official said.
