Bhopal : At least seven people were killed and three injured when a jeep in which they were travelling collided with a truck in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, police said Tuesday.
The jeep carrying a group of Ramayan Mandali (people who recite Ramayan at religious functions) collided head on with the truck coming from the opposite direction late Monday night.
“Seven people died on the spot while three were critically injured. The injured have been admitted to the Rewa district hospital,” a police officer said.
He said the truck driver is absconding. A case has been registered by the police.
