Bhopal : At least 12 people, including 10 of a family, were killed when a van collided with a truck in Madhya Pradesh’s Guna district, police said Monday.
The accident occurred in the cantonment area when the Soni family was returning to Gwalior after attending a marriage in Guna, Additional Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar told IANS.
The dead include 10 members of the Soni family, besides van car driver and a priest. Two people were injured. The truck driver fled from the spot.
The dead included Ashok Soni, 47, Raju Soni, 35, Pradeep Soni, 45, Naval Soni, 40, Jay Soni, 8, Narayani Devi, 70, Rekha, 40, Kishori Devi, 35, Ekta, 13 and Neena, 40.
