The center said in a statement that Nihad al-Dabaka, 47, died when being held in a Hamas police station in central Gaza Strip, and Atta al-Bur’ei, 39, was killed after he was severely beaten by gunmen who claimed to be Hamas police.

The PCHR appealed to the deposed government of Hamas in Gaza “to publish in public the results of the investigation and to sue those who are responsible for committing those two crimes.”

“The deposed government in Gaza is asked to immediately open a serious probe of the two cases, arrest those who are responsible and take them to court,” said the PCHR statement.

Earlier, rival Fatah movement called for forming an international investigation committee to probe the killing of its 27 activists in the Gaza Strip, in addition to shooting of dozens in their knees and legs after torture.

Meanwhile, Fatah movement, which dominates the Palestinian security forces, “condemns the death of the Hamas member in his jail in Jenin.

Fatah said in a statement that “it also wants a real and serious investigation in the Gaza Strip after dozens were executed and tortured by Hamas militants.”

Hamas has appealed to investigate the death of one of its members in a prison in northern West Bank city of Jenin.

Hamas insisted torture caused his death, while the security forces loyal to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said he committed suicide.

The PCHR said four Palestinians have been killed this week, one in the West Bank and three in the Gaza Strip, calling on both Hamas and the Palestinian National Authority to stop the violations of human rights and implement the law.
