“Not only the BJP, the actress is an agent of all those who are against the ideology of Samajwadi Party,” Khan said in Rampur, where she has been renominated the Samajwadi candidate for the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking to reporters, Khan also accused Jayaprada of giving patronage to “land mafias” and “anti-social elements”.

Khan’s remarks comes after he was accused of attacking the cavalcade of Jayaprada in Rampur Friday.

Mustafa Hussain, the MP’s representative in Rampur, had blamed Khan’s supporters and some Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) workers for the attack.

Khan is reportedly considering leaving the Samajwadi Party over its bonhomie with former BJP leader Kalyan Singh, who was the Uttar Pradesh chief minister when the Babri mosque in Ayodhya was razed in 1992. There is intense speculation that Khan could join the BSP.
