National 3-day seminar on freedom struggle begins at Munger

New Delhi: The national 3-day seminar on Movements of War of Independence – From Beginning to 19th Century began today in the premises of Rahmani Foundation in Munger.

Addressing the opening session, Union Minister of Water Resources Jai Prakash Yadav said there is attraction in the Urdu Language and Urdu culture. The Urdu language is sweet and fresh, and is the symbol of composite culture – Ganga-Jamuni tahzeeb. This is the language of change and revolution and has played an important role in the war of independence, he said. He said freedom fighters would embrace gallows while reciting Urdu couplets.



The program is being organized by Rahmani Foundation in collaboration with the central government body National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL).

Addressing the gathering former NCPUL director Dr Ali Jawed said Urdu is the heritage of the composite culture. He said this culture is attached with the future of India.

Spiritual leader and director of Rahmani Foundation Maulana Muhammad Wali Rahmani said deep knowledge of history helps one in understanding the rise and fall of governments. The study helps one in making the life better and progressive. He said: “we love the history of freedom struggle of our country. The new generation should be aware of that history,” he said.
