Islamabad : Pakistan Monday rejected the Indian allegations of its links with the Nov 26 Mumbai terror strike but said it will take the probe into the attack to its logical conclusion.
“Pakistan will try its best to take the Mumbai attack probe to its fruition, but at this stage the Indian allegations are not proving helpful,” The News quoted a foreign office spokesman as saying.
The remark comes a day after Indian External Minister Pranab Mukherjee again said Islamabad was in denial mode over cross-border terrorism.
The spokesman said the international community was appreciative of Pakistan’s cooperation for investigating Mumbai carnage.
Bilateral relations between Pakistan and India worsened in the aftermath wake of Mumbai terror attacks, which killed over 170 people.
New Delhi has been maintaining that the Mumbai terror attack plan was hatched in Pakistan.
