The massive dua program was held after Asr prayer at Idgah Ujale Shah in Saidabad, Hyderabad. Maulana Naseeruddin’s wife and other women from across the city gathered there and prayed for the release of Maulana Naseeruddin and scores of Muslim youths picked up from in and around Hyderabad and implicated in various terror cases in the last few years.

The women were very emotional while some were weeping during the dua. They prayed Allah to end the regime of tyrant rulers. They prayed for the ruin of those doing atrocities on the innocents. At the time of the prayer, the Idgah was turned into a police camp with policewomen in large number surrounding the Idgah, says the Siasat daily.

Maulana Naseeruddin is languishing in Sabarmati jail in Gujarat jail for four years. After prayer, talking to pressmen, family of the Maulana protested against police atrocities. They said police atrocities against respected families in Saeedabad are on.

The Gujarat police wanted to arrest Maulana Naseeruddin in connection with the murder of former Gujarat Home Minister Haren Pandya. Pandya died in March 2003, when gunmen opened fire on him in broad daylight in Ahmedabad.

The health of Maulana Naseeruddin who has been implicated in false cases and has been languishing in Gujarat jail for 4 years is deteriorating day by day and his kidneys are also failing.
