Lucknow : A 15-year-old girl was allegedly held captive for two days and raped by a teacher of a private school in Uttar Pradesh, police said Saturday.
The class 9 student of Faizabad’s F.A. Inter college was abducted by Ajit Kumar Singh, a teacher of the S.K. Public school in Faizabad, about 250 km from here, on her way back home from school Wednesday.
She was then allegedly raped by Kumar and held captive at a secluded place in Kundurkha village in Faizabad, a police officer said.
Later, the girl managed to reach her home in the Teerathpur village in Faizabad Friday evening and narrated the incident to her parents, who got a case registered at the Raunahi police station.
Police are yet to arrest the teacher, who is at large.
“Efforts are on to nab the teacher,” police inspector Gyanendra Singh said.
