Washington : Young women might not like to have a baby now, but will they be able to have one by the time they decide?
For women in 20s, preventing infertility is ignored until it’s too late. Most young women are advised to do everything possible to keep pregnancy at bay, without thinking about its long term consequences.
Nearly 7.3 million American women have difficulty conceiving a child. Yet most of them won’t attend a fertility conference or even approach a doctor to seek answers.
The American Fertility Association, (AFA) a non-profit body — engaged in infertility prevention, reproductive health and family building — is providing a free solution to any young woman who can spare an hour that could change her entire life.
For example, on Jan 27, Jamie Grifo of New York University School of Medicine will interact with 21-year-old women or above, invitees to a complimentary manicure and martini event, on how they can boost chances of conception, said an AFA release.
We’ll also be serving the Fertilitini(TM) — an organic, alcohol-free specialty drink whose recipe is the result of a contest. Manicures & Martinis is expected to roll through approximately 20 US cities in 2009, said its representative.
