The accident took place early Tuesday morning in Khaakupur locality of Jaunpur district, about 150 km from here.
“Owing to dense fog, the driver could not see the truck coming from the opposite direction and suddenly swerved, after which the vehicle overturned, killing four people on the spot,” police inspector M.R. Dugtal told IANS on phone.
He said of the 10 injured, the condition of three is said to be critical. The injured were being treated at a district hospital in Jaunpur.
