In an interview with BBC, Malik said the Taliban militants are currently on the run, but the Pakistani forces will soon capture them. He said the terrorists are hiding in South Waziristan and making plans for terror attacks.

“We need help from the world community to find out who is helping the Taliban with money and arms,” the Online news agency reported Wednesday citing the minister.

He said terrorists such as Gul Bahudur, Commander Nazir and Qari Hussain are part of the Taliban led by Baitullah Mehsud but they operate under a different group called Zaliman.

Malik said Taliban leader Maulana Fazlullah is part of the Zaliman group which operates in South Waziristan.

The minister said the terrorists are anti-Pakistanis as they don’t want the country to progress.

He added that the government is taking major steps in collaboration with the US administration to eliminate the militants.
