In this informal meeting Muslim leaders of many organizations discussed with him various issues related to Muslim community especially the Ranganath Mishra Commission Report, Liberhan Commission Report, Women’s Reservation Bill and Batla House Encounter etc.

During the meeting Mr. Lalu Parsad Yadav said that government should immediately put Liberhan Commission Report before the Parliament along with its action taken report because people of the country are eager to know the organizations and individuals who are responsible for demolition of Babri Masjid which is a worst incident of Indian history. Indian people also want to know the government’s stand to punish the guilty of the case.

Expressing his view on Ranganathan Mishra Commission Report, he said: “We are demanding the government of India to table Ranganathan Mishra Commission Report in Parliament and implement the recommendations made by the Commission as soon as possible.

“Government should keep in mind that Muslims played a key role in the remarkable victory of Congress and other secular parties defeating the communal parties. So, government must take suitable action to solve the problems of Muslims” he added.

Mr. Lalu Prasad also strongly backed the demand of a judicial enquiry into Batla House encounter saying that suspicion about the role of police and government will remain until a judicial enquiry is conducted.

Repeating his stand on Women’s Reservation Bill, he said: “We are in favor of Women’s Reservation Bill but we will be opposing the Bill in present structure unless a separate quota for minority and backward classes is granted” he demanded.

Asked about Delhi High Court judgment about homosexuality, he said: We wish to protect the moral and religious distinction of our country. For that we will fight with all strength.

He accepted the ground reality that Muslims are struggling to get justice and their rights for last 62 years in independent India.

On the occasion Mr. Yadav was also reminded that during his 15-years government in Bihar Muslims of Bihar were also failed to get their rights.

Many representatives of Various Milli organizations were present on the occasion such as Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith, All India Milli Council, All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat and Tanzeem Abna-e-Qaseem Darul Uloom Deoband.
