“We have registered our complaint with the Election Commission through a letter. We have also attached some of the photographs published in newspapers that show Khan and his supporters displaying firearms,” UPCC spokesperson Akhilesh Pratap Singh told reporters here.

Khan, who is the BSP nominee from the Sultanpur constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Wednesday openly flaunted firearms alongwith his supporters during a procession in Sultanpur, alleged Singh.

“As the display of firearms is in gross violation to the model code of conduct, we want strict action must be taken against the MP,” demanded the Congress official.

The UPCC has also asked the Election Commission to screen the records of Khan and alleged that he was facing charges of rape and human trafficking.
