Israeli air strikes continue on Gaza Strip

GAZA, March 7 (KUNA) — Israeli Army on Saturday carried on a series of air strikes, targeting the borderline between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, with no casualties reported.

The strikes had targeted the smuggling tunnels area south of Rafah, eyewitnesses said, noting that a number of these tunnels were damaged due to the bombing.
The strikes are hammering the area almost on a daily basis.
Meanwhile, al-Quds Brigades; the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad in Palestine, announced today the launching of two mortar shell rounds on east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza Strip.

A statement by the Brigades claimed responsibility of the attack, saying that the shells had hit an Israeli military intelligence site near Kissufim.
The Brigades had announced earlier today that one of its fighters; Mahmoud Fattouh, 27, was killed, and another injured severely in result of an Israeli air raid. Shortly before, Fattouh had managed to launch six (Quds) rockets on Israeli villages near the Gaza Strip.
