Tehran : Iranian-American journalist Roxana Saberi is to be released, Iranian news agency ISNA reported Monday quoting her lawyer.
Saberi’s lawyer Saleh Nikbakht said the appeal court Sunday dismissed the primary court ruling on charges of espionage against Saberi and issued the verdict on charges of disruption of national security.
Saberi’s eight-year jail term was reduced by the court to a two-year suspended sentence and therefore she would be released, Nikbakht said.
