Tehran : Cheif Minsiter of Pakistan’s largest province of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif here on Wednesday evening underscored the need for further expansion of all-out relations with Iran as a major Islamic state.
He made the remarks while talking to reporters after his meeting with Tehran Governor Morteza Tamaddon.
Expressing satisfaction with his current visit to Tehran, Sharif said his trip was aimed at bolstering Tehran-Islamabad relations.
During the meeting, Tehran governor underlined the importance of exchange of visits between the two sides, saying mutual talks would help expand bilateral cooperation.
The Pakistani delegation, headed by Shahbaz Sharif, arrived here on Monday to hold talks with Iranian officials on issues of mutual interests.
