Propaganda against PDP proved baseless: Abdunnasir Ma’dani

By TwoCircles.net Staff Correspondent,

Kochi: The propaganda that the LDF had lost the general elections due to sharing stage with the PDP has been proved baseless by the by-elections, said Abdunnasir Ma’dani, chairman of the People’s Democratic Party. The leaders of the LDF failed in the by-elections even though the PDP had not shared stage or even campaigned for the candidates. The leaders including those of the CPI should think about the matter seriously, he said.
Mr Ma’dani accused that notices abusing the party and himself had been circulated in mosques on Friday. Fake rumours were spread on the day before the voting that the PDP had withdrawn from the elections. The PDP could not gain the expected vote share in Alappuzha because of this fake propaganda by the UDF. However, he said that, the party was happy that the failure of the CPI would destroy its haughtiness. He added that the party would be moved forward learning lessons from the failure in the elections.

The People’s Democratic Party had contested in the Alappuzha constituency in the by-elections in Kerala. The party’s got only 1,804 votes, thus losing even the deposit. The party which had supported the LDF in the last general elections decided to contest in Alappuzha as the LDF candidate was from the CPI. The CPI had fiercely opposed the CPI (M) sharing stage with the PDP during the last general election campaigns.
