Moulvi shared his suspicion that a move to hinder the onward surge of the Muslim community in the educational field could be found in the ‘love jihad’ propaganda. The aim is to weaken the community educationally and mentally. He added that love and jihad were being tied together to pollute the social atmosphere of Kerala.

The society won’t forgive those who create problems by drawing religion to love, said CP John, leader of the Communist Marxist Party. The propaganda in the name of the ‘love jihad’ is mean and condemnable. He added that it should be brought under test whether the court’s mention in the matter without a detailed investigation was responsible to the society or not.

There is an attempt to project Muslims as good for nothing through the ‘love jihad’ propaganda, said veteran journalist O Abdulla. He also opined that the propaganda was a well-planned one. The Hindu communalists are trying to weaken Muslims using different names, opined Laha Gopalan, president of the Sadhujana Vimochana Samyuktha Vedi, the organisation of Adivasis and Dalits. He also pointed out that a Dalit-minorities unity was needed to defend the Hindu communalism.

The fascist powers used to unleash false propaganda whenever the religious minorities were developing, said Dr MS Jayaprakash, historian and human rights activist. He added that this propaganda was carried out by well-written and prepared agenda.

The function was presided over by KF Muhammed Aslam Moulvi, KMYF state president. State general secretary Kadakkal Junaid, district president Kanjar Ahmed Kabeer Baqawi, KM Naser Ayiroorpadam, SH Thahir Moulvi, Thevarakkara Aliyarkunju Moulvi, Pangod Kamarudheen Moulvi, MA Samad, etc attended.
