Aligarh: Dr Syed Moied Ahmed, Reader and In-charge ICU, Department of Anesthesiology, J.N. Medical College, AMU, has been conferred with “Distinguished Academician and Researcher of the year award 2009” by the INDO-US Academic Council for Emergency and Trauma (ACET).

The award was instituted this year and Dr. Moied is first to receive it, that signifies the enthusiastic involvement, passionate performance and innovative research undertaken by the awardee in using his academic expertise to cause expansion of science in the field of Academic Emergency and Trauma Sciences in India.
The award was conferred on Dr. Moied in the 5th Annual Indo-US Emergency Medicine Summit held at Coimbatore. On the occasion, he also delivered a lecture on “Treatment of Snake Bite- India versus Abroad” in the ACET Speaker of the Year forum.
