New Delhi : The Rajya Sabha was adjourned Thursday — the opening day of the winter session of parliament — after paying tribute to former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and ex-MPs.
The upper house of parliament was adjourned for the day after obituary references to YSR — as the former Andhra chief minister was popularly known — and former MPs P. Upendra, Mahendra Sahani and Pyarelal Khandelwal.
The month-long winter session of parliament will conclude Dec 21.
