Voicing her anger over the delay in conducting a polygraph test on Vijay Krishna, Laxmi Singh said here Monday that the test should be conducted outside the state “to expose the real truth”.

Krishna, in his late 50s, was arrested from Faridabad in Haryana last month. The JD-U leader and his son Chanakya are accused in the murder of Singh.

“We fail to understand why a polygraph test on Vijay Krishna was delayed on health grounds despite the fact that he was healthy. His police remand has ended,” Laxmi Singh told IANS.

She alleged that Krishna had influenced the director of the state forensic laboratory as he had refused to conduct the polygraph test on the accused on medical grounds.

Satyendra Singh’s decomposed body was found floating in the Ganga in June.

Earlier, Laxmi Singh had demanded death penalty for Krishna and his son Chanakya. “They should be hanged. They murdered my husband and made me a widow. They should not be given anything less than death,” she said.

Krishna was sent to 14 days’ judicial custody Saturday.
