New Delhi: Delhiites will continue to reel under the scorching heat Sunday with the maximum temperature likely to hover around 43.7 degrees Celsius, weather officials said.
The minimum temperature recorded Sunday morning was 30.6 degrees, six notches above normal.
“There will be no respite from the scorching summer as mercury continues to go northwards. Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in the capital,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) told IANS.
Humidity was maximum 40 percent and minimum 14 percent.
The official said April this year has been unusually hot. “The blazing heat is due to lack of western disturbances over Delhi,” he added.
