Rallying at Berlin’s historic Brandenburg Gate, the crowd slammed the Zionist regime’s massive ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in al-Qods.

Waving Palestinian flags, the crowd reaffirmed Maraghy’s right to live with his German wife and seven-month-old infant daughter Zainab in al-Qods.

Maraghy has been on a hunger strike since July 26 over the Isreal refusal to issue travel documents for Zainab which would allow her to live in al-Qods.

The Palestinian activist could also risk his own residency status, if he does not return to al-Qods by May 2011.

The German capital has been the scene of numerous rallies in solidarity with
Maraghy in recent weeks.

Branding the Isreal state ‘racist,’ Maraghy has vowed to continue his hunger strike until Israeli officials grant him the necessary residence permit for his child.

His humanitarian case has also become of major interest to Germany’s mainstream media which usually does not highlight the Israel ongoing discriminatory policies against Palestinians.
