Islamabad : At least 24 gunmen and three soldiers were killed Friday morning after Taliban militants attacked checkposts in Pakistan’s northwestern region bordering Afghanistan, a media report said.
About 150 Taliban militants attacked five Frontier Corps checkposts in Baidnami village in Mohmand district near the border with Afghanistan, Geo News reported citing a senior security official.
The attack left 24 militants and three paramilitary soldiers dead, the official said, adding that 12 security men were injured in the clash.
