New Delhi: Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan said Saturday that preliminary investigations into the German Bakery blast at Pune suggest that it could be a bomb explosion.
“Preliminary inquiries suggest that cylinders (at the site) were intact,” he said.
Speaking to CNN-IBN news channel from Mumbai, the chief minister said he was in constant touch with authorities in Pune who were at the site of the blast.
“It is yet to be confirmed if it was a bomb blast,” he said.
The chief minister said that the blast was initially suspected to be a cylinder explosion.
He said that local police was investigating the mater and home ministry was being kept posted.
