Prasada, who won the Lok Sabha elections in 2004 and 2009, represents Uttar Pradesh’s Dhaurahra constituency and is minister of state for petroleum and natural gas.

Party sources said the marriage ceremony will be a “very private affair”.

“Rahul-ji (Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi) may attend the function,” said a party leader from Uttar Pradesh.

More political leaders are invited for a reception to be held here later, party sources said.

There are now four unmarried members of the Manmohan Singh ministry – Trinamool Congress chief and Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee, Tourism Minister Kumari Selja, Social Justice Minister Mukul Wasnik and Minister of State for Rural Development Agatha Sangma.
