Kolkata: The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) says it will unveil during the parliament session beginning Monday what it terms the Maoist-Trinamool Congress nexus “which triggered spiralling violence and killings” in West Bengal during the past few years.
“We have not seen such violence in the past 30 years in the state. The way the Maoists are being welcomed by the Trinamool Congress, is extremely condemnable,” CPI-M politburo member Brinda Karat told reporters after inaugurating the national convention of the Platform for the Rights of Disabled here.
“We have decided to highlight the Trinamool Congress’ hobnobbing with the Maoist ultras in next session of parliament,” she added.
Karat said her party would take the issue to the people so that everyone understood the “unholy nexus” between the Maoists and Trinamool Congress in the state.
