Srinagar : An intense cold wave continued to sweep the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir Friday with the district capital Leh recording a minimum temperature of minus 21 degrees Celsius.
“The maximum temperature in Leh town of Ladakh region was 0.6 degrees while the minimum fell to minus 21 degrees,” an official of the weather office told IANS here.
Kashmir’s capital Srinagar experienced warmer days but colder nights.
“The maximum temperature was 9.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum was minus 3.6 degrees in Srinagar,” the official said.
The weather office has forecast cold, dry weather conditions to continue for the next few days.
