Srinagar : The night temperature showed a rising trend, but continued to remain below the freezing point in the Kashmir valley and the Ladakh region Thursday.
The minimum night temperature in Srinagar was minus 3.6 degrees Celsius while it was minus 14 degrees in Ladakh’s Leh town.
“The maximum temperature in Srinagar was 11 degrees while it was minus 1.8 degrees in Leh,” an official of the weather office here told IANS.
There is an upward trend in the night temperature both in the valley and the Ladakh region, he said.
The minimum in the valley two days ago was minus 4.2 while it was minus 22 degrees in Leh.
“This indicates a pattern of rising night temperatures. But the clear night skies forecast for the next two to three days could reverse this trend and the night temperature can again start falling,” the official said.
