Patna: Under the guardianship of Sajjada Nasheen of Khanqah Munger, Maulana Syed Mohammad Wali Rahmani, Rahmani Foundation has been organizing free eye camps for the poor people suffering from cataract for last few years. On 20-21 January, two such eye camps were held in Munger where about 550 poor people belonging to different religions underwent eye operation without any charge.
Besides free accommodation, they were served with food and medicines for free during the camps. This was 19th eye camp held by Rahmani Foundation while the next one would be held on 8th February2010.
Speaking at the inaugural function of the eye camp District Magistrate of Munger Mr. Arvind Kumar Singh appreciated the services of Rahmani Foundation for the deprived people. He said Munger is proud to have Maulana Wali Rahmani who has devoted his life to the service of the society.
Munger Civil Surgeon Dr. K. Singh promised to provide latest modern machines to Rahmani Foundation for the purpose.
ACM of Munger Dr. Abid expressed his satisfaction regarding the management of the camp. “Earlier, I was of the opinion that such camps have no proper facilities and especially they lack hygiene but my view has changed after seeing the camps of Rahmani Foundation” he added.
Chairman of Rahmani Foundation Maulana Wali Rahmani said that if people’s support remains with Rahmani Foundation, it will achieve its big goal in health and education in the future. Rahmani Foundation is running several educational institutions in Bihar. The latest one is Rahmani-30 coaching centre in Patna where meritorious poor Muslim students are coached free for IIT-JEE entrance test.
Dr. Vivek Verma, Dr. Jitender Goglani, Dr. Harish Shah and their team rendered their services for operations. All the patients left for home with successful treatment.
