The city recorded a total of 15.88 mm of rain on the second day of the monsoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The temperature fell considerably with the maximum at 32.7 degree Celsius, two notches below the average for this time of the year. The minimum temperature was also two notches below normal at 25.8 degrees.

The weather was pleasant but it surely wasn’t a pretty sight on the roads as the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) received 55 complaints of water logging by evening from various parts of the city.

The most serious complaints of flooded roads came from Najafgarh, Karol Bagh, Shahdara and Rohini, an MCD official said.

More rainfall has been predicted for Wednesday but temperature could rise.
