A press statement from the Lok Sabha secretariat said the session will conclude Aug 27.

The decision comes a week after the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs met and recommended the session dates.

The month-long session of parliament is likely to be stormy with a united opposition expected to raise the issue of price rise and demand a rollback of the fuel price hike.

The law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir and attack on security forces by Maoists is also likely to be raised by opposition parties.

Among the bills, the government is keen to pass in the session include the civil nuclear liability bill, the women’s reservation bill and a legislation on direct tax code.
