Talking at a round-table discussion on the latest situation in Gaza, Inge Hoeger said she and two other companions would file a lawsuit against Israel for its lethal attack on the aid convoy.

The complaint addressed to the German federal prosecutor will include kidnapping charges, she added.

A legislator for the opposition party The Left (Die Linke), Hoeger was joined by faction member Annette Groth and former Left MP Norman Paech aboard the Marmara, the Turkish passenger boat in the protest flotilla.

All three German politicians have accused the Jewish state of “war crimes and kidnapping.”

Meanwhile, Hoeger announced that the German parliament would debate Israel’s assault on the Gaza peace flotilla Wednesday, following a petition by her party which called for an end to the Gaza blockade and a halt to German arms deliveries to Israel.
