Shimla : The annual plan of Himachal Pradesh has been fixed at Rs.3,000 crore for 2010-11, which is Rs.300 crore more than the plan size of the current fiscal, an official statement said here Monday.
“The annual plan for the year 2010-11 has been fixed at Rs.3,000 crore at a meeting between Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia,” the statement said.
The social sector has been given top priority by allocating Rs.1010.79 crore, which is 33 percent of the total plan outlay.
The transport and communications have been allocated Rs.588.93 crore and the energy sector Rs.354.37 crore.
The agriculture and allied services sector has got Rs.342.84 crore.
Himachal Pradesh’s economy is largely dependent on horticulture, hydroelectric power and tourism.
