New Delhi : Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to arrive New Delhi Thursday around midnight.
Putin is coming on a working visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. He will be accompanied by an official delegation comprising senior members of the Russian Government and several business leaders.
The Russian prime minister on Friday will hold talks with Prime Minister Singh on a range of issues of bilateral interest.
India and Russia, after the delegation-level talks, are expected to sign the first of a series of agreements for the development of fifth generation fighter aircraft, FGFA, to meet futuristic requirements of the Indian Air Force.
During the two-day visit Putin will call on President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and will meet the UPA Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi.
