Gurdaspur (Punjab) : Three pilgrims from Delhi returning from Vaishno Devi in Jammu and Kashmir were killed Monday when the bus they were in overturned near this Punjab town, police said.
The bus hit a tree at a sharp turn and overturned at the Gurdaspur by-pass. Eighteen people were injured, four of them seriously.
“The victims were going to Amritsar to visit the Golden Temple,” said police officer Parmod Kumar. Gurdaspur is around 250 km from the Punjab capital Chandigarh.
