Abu Dhabi : In order to make health care more accessible, Abu Dhabi Sunday launched an electronic directory which contains information about all the physicians in the country.
The launch of electronic directory is a step towards improving public accessibility to health care through providing updated information on licensed physicians in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, said Zaid Al Siksek, CEO of Health Authority, Abu Dhabi.
The directory’s website allows people to search for physicians as per the required medical treatment, location, name and surname of the professionals.
“Minhaal program”, a website meant for patients and professionals trying to learn about a disease or a clinical symptom or problem, is also linked with the directory website.
According to statistics, there are 5,142 doctors, 8,142 nurses and 5,630 allied health professionals working in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
