Ban on calling women, elderly to Gurgaon police stations

Gurgaon: Gurgaon Police Commissioner Surjeet Singh Deswal Tuesday directed his officers not to call any woman or senior citizen to the police station, even if they are accused, witnesses or complainants.

The directions from the police commissioner came while launching a children’s helpline “Child-line se dosti” here.

The commissioner cautioned police station heads that courtesy should be shown while dealing with senior citizens and women.
