Ramvir, a 22-year-old auto driver, along with his three accomplices abducted the victim on the morning of Nov 3 as she was waiting for her cab near the Mandawali railway colony in east Delhi.

“Of the four, we have arrested Ramvir. We have identified one of his accomplices who will be arrested soon,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (east) K.C. Dwivedi told IANS.

“The girl came to us Nov 7 to register the case. The medical report confirmed that she was raped,” he added.

The victim said: “I was waiting for my cab when some men came in an auto and forcibly pulled me inside. They took me to an isolated place near a jungle and raped me.”

The case was registered four days later as the victim and her family remained mum.

The victim’s mother claimed that the police did not cooperate with them and were reluctant to register the case.

It took them over four hours to file the FIR (first information report) Nov 7, she said.
