Minor clash in Hazaribagh, rest of Jharkhand peaceful

Ranchi: A minor clash between two communities broke up on Friday early morning following allegedly tearing of a religious book in the Lohsingha locality of Hazaribagh city in Jharkhand. It is alleged that some anti-social elements tore up some pages of the religious book and threw outside a place of worship in the locality last night.

But according to a resident, situation has been brought under control in no time. Juma prayers have been performed as usual. Administration is keeping watch on the situation. Meeting of peace committee has also been held on administration’s initiative. Members of the communities were present at the meeting.

Meanwhile, in the capital city of Ranchi, contrary to the curfew like situation on Thursday, the city returned to normalcy today. Shops and institutions were open. Public has been seen on the street as usual. However, security personnel are deployed in same numbers especially around the religious institutions. There is no report of any untoward incident from any other part of Jharkhand.
