Chennai: The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court has given its judgement in the Babri Masjid after 62 years. “We consider the judgement delivered by the Lucknow bench as not the final word of the judiciary,” said Prof. M.H. Jawahirullah, president of Tamilnadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam (TMMK).
“We totally agree with the opinion of the Senior Advocates of the Supreme Court Rajeev Dawan and P.P. Rao who opined that instead of going into legal issues relating to the title suit the Hon’ble judges have the divided the disputed land into three parts which was not prayed for by the parties to the suit.”
One of the Judges have set aside the argument of the Sangh Parivar that Babar invaded Ayodhya and destructed a temple which was existing there.
The Sunni Central Wakf Board’s plea has been set aside merely on technical grounds that its petition was delayed for 3 days. The three judges have also differed with one another on various grounds.
However for the first time since 1949, this judgement has accepted that the disputed site also belongs to Muslims.
The contention of the judgement that the disputed structure was not a Masjid and it was constructed against the tenets of Islam is horrendeous.
TMMK welcomed the decision of the Sunni Central Wakf Board to appeal to the Supreme Court.
TMMK also issued an appeal to fellow countrymen to keep cool, calm and maintain harmony in the country.
