The period of royal pardon began on September 25, 2010 and will end on March 20, 2011.

In a letter to Indian Embassy, the Dammam chapter of IFF urged it to put a chair in the Embassy office there to help all Indians who need to approach the deportation center to go back India by availing the declared Royal pardon.

A considerable part of Indian expatriates is working in Eastern Province and one of the declared deporting centers is in Dammam. While requesting Indian Embassy to help all Indians in Eastern Province in this regard, IFF also offered its all cooperation and voluntary services to find out the over-staying Indians and help them go home.

According to Mr. Shoib of IFF, the group has started an awareness program among Indians especially, among Indian expatriates from northern states of India.

“As part of this, we distributed leaflets with details about the Royal Pardon & requirement of emergency passport in English, Hindi, Urdu, Telugu, Kannada & Malayalam languages. IFF also arranged Helpline, Help points for all and arranged workshops for the volunteers and social workers from more than 15 Indian states to provide maximum services to all Indians” he said.

He said his group will focus on all Indians over-staying and working in isolated areas, remote villages, deserts and agricultural farms. These labors are not aware of this Royal pardon and are without required or valid documents.
