Ranchi : The Janata Dal-United (JD-U) Wednesday demanded one berth in the Jharkhand cabinet which would be expanded Friday.
“JD-U has claim of one seat in the cabinet,” said Sudha Chaudhary, a JD-U legislator, who went to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party’s office Wednesday afternoon to meet Chief Minister Arjun Munda and stake claim to a place in the cabinet.
Munda Wednesday held a meeting with party legislators and discussed the names of probables to be given a place in the cabinet.
Jharkhand Governor M.O.H. Farook has set Friday as the deadline for the cabinet expansion.
