Muzaffarnagar : District authorities have suspended 57 presiding officers for not attending election duty during the first phase of panchayat polls in the district, an official said Wednesday.
Strict action is being taken against those officers who were found absent while on election duty during the polls, District Magistrate Santosh Kumar said.
Just two days back, authorities had ordered to register cases against 44 officers, including 15 presiding officers, for not attending election duty
