Phase 3: 48 seats, 13 Muslim candidates of major parties

Patna: In Phase 3 poll due on October 28, as many as 48 seats of 243-Bihar Assembly will go to poll with 13 Muslim candidates of major parties/alliances contesting on 11 seats. In this phase the ruling JDU-BJP alliance has not fielded any Muslim candidate.

Like Phase 1 and Phase 2 Congress party holds lead as for tickets to minority candidates. Of 13 Muslim candidates, 9 are from Congress and rest 4 from RJD-LJP alliance. At 4 places they are clashing while at 9 single Muslim candidate of either group is contesting, brightening the chance of their victory.



Of 48 seats, there are 13 seats where Muslim population is between 20-30%, while on 27 seats they constitute 10-20%.

However, in majority of the 11 seats where Muslim candidates have been fielded by major parties/alliances, Muslim population is between 20-30%.
