New Delhi : The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the country’s oldest apex business association, Thursday unveiled a new logo that embodies the Indian tricolour.
Conceptualised and designed by Rediffusion YR, the new logo symbolises the changing face of Indian business — from the agrarian look of the independence era to the incorporation of industrial chimneys in the 70s to the bold in blue look of the post-liberalization era, FICCI said in a statement.
The new logo reflects agility of purpose, speed of thought and represents an India on the move in a profound manner with a nationalist zeal.
“The new identity symbolises our commitment in progression to prosperity that we, at FICCI, shall have the honour of moving with our young, passionate nation,” said FICCI President Rajan Bharti Mittal.
Olympian Abhinav Bindra and Filmmaker and Chairman of FICCI Entertainment Committee Yash Chopra unveiled the logo.
“This faith and self-belief is now evident in the youth of the country as evidenced by the killer instinct displayed by our sportspersons in the recently concluded Commonwealth Games,” said Abhinav Bindra.
The new identity is an expression to take the country’s oldest apex business organisation forward into the era of representing India as a global super power while retaining its values which have been instrumental in scripting the country’s success story.
“The younger generation is anxious for a change. They have the best of intentions but the archaic system is holding them back. The time has come for right-minded people to come together and lead the way forward,” Yash Chopra said after unveiling the logo.
