He had sought nominations from matric students who passed this year with first division, and he got more than one thousand entries. The list was scrutinized and 501 of them from top were selected. The selected students have secured 67% or more in the board exam. Among 501, 270 are boys and 231 girls.

Hejazi said top 10 of 501 will be put at an Aptitude Test after the felicitation program on September 26, and successful will be selected for HWF sponsorship for higher studies.

“Sachar Committee report showed that Muslims are educationally backward and to uplift Muslim educationally our foundation is organizing the award distribution ceremony in Patna,” said Hejazi.

Last year, HWF had organized a similar program and felicitated about 800 meritorious students in U.P. “After seeing such a grand success foundation decided to organize a programme to distribute awards for academic excellence in Bihar,” said Salimullah Khan, National Co-coordinator, HWF.

He further said that the foundation is aiming to hold such an award distribution ceremony to promote students especially the students of Muslim community so that they can be encouraged to do better in their future.
